There is such a thing as selective breeding that can be done by design as seen from the outside.
You...do know what selected breeding is, yes? It's breeding that selects for a specific mutation, which arises randomly, to increase the chance that that mutation propogates into an organism's offspring.

Please define mutation and adaptation. I doubt you know either.
Ok, so now you say all is mutation and there is no such thing as adaptation.
As I see the difference mutation is DNA only and not RNA caused. This would be why the red potato was an eye mutant as obviously different from the other white potato's of that same plant.
That is why it is called mutation as different from design in which the essence as potato remained just the same. A mutation as a mutation is obviously different and does follow the RNA input for design, from which it can be said that you are what you eat and eat what you are.
Of course in Hollywood anything is possible, and that maybe is why Shirley Maclean in her Past Lives Pavilion was a said the be a gorilla at one time? Not sure what is was, I forgot, but something that is not possible for sure. This where she wanted to explain the transmigration of souls and lost it a bit.
Anyway, adaptation is the reason why we have a conscious and subconscious mind so that we can be temporal with presence in the place where we live, and bloom where we are planted from the genus in us, from where likes will be just like us as created to be.
