If that is true, which I've been assured many times by secularists that it is, then the condition of not wanting to form sexual unions capable of producing offspring is bad. It's certainly not debilitating, but it would qualify, from an evolutionary perspective, as maladaptive, like color-blindness.
Besides the person quoted in the OP is wrong - a fetish is when a body part or inanimate object is taken to represent the whole of sexual object. Homosexuality would be a perversion, i.e. a misuse of the sexual function, much like masturbation.
So much wrong in one post...
Firstly, morality is a result of evolution, but evoltuion is not a guideline from which our morals are derived. Secondly, you're misusing the term "secularist" as if it means "non-believers" when it actually means someone that wants religion and government separate. Thirdly, masturbation is a perfectly natural biological function, not a perversion, which we know from our understanding of sexual function and how it applies to evolution.
Let's face it, the argument against homosexuality boils down to nothing more than "ew, gross.," and I just wish that, for once, someone would come out and admit that.
