Par the course at the moment for you isn't it Chad? Take a dump on a thread with baseless unsupported assertions then fuck off to another thread to start the process all over again.
Poor form.
Where have all the good theists gone?
I'm sorry but "antireligious bigotry" doesn't exist, or at least it doesn't exist until individual religious people are actually unsafe or can't freely practice their religion. The point most of these people miss is that you can freely practice any religion you want in the Western world. Simply saying "you can't throw rocks at unveiled women or lash out at gays" is not stopping you from practicing your religion, nor is it saying you can't believe that gays and unchaste women are Hell-bound.
The argument also misses the following points;
- All and every religion is a lifestyle choice, not something you are born into, even if you were initiated at birth.
- Some religions, praticularly Christianity and Islam, have historically held a lot of power, and continue to. This power gives them the ability to create political loopholes and abuse rights. Therefore there is naturally going to be resentment of and campaigns against these religions. Until these religions lose that power, they're going to have to deal with it, because that resentment is getting louder and louder.
