I can respect your views against Christianity and religion, but your assumption that Christianity poses a threat that
is equal to Islam is not even close to reality. I agree with Skipper, Christianity has lost a lot of the political power it once had.
(Bold emphasis mine)
Christianity has its bloody and violent history and the Protestants, when they had the opportunity, proved themselves no better than the Catholics. It's not that Christianity is a loving, kind religion that was misunderstood all along by the practitioners throughout history. It's that Christianity no longer has the power to lash out violently. Christian leaders can only envy the Muslim imams.
To believe in Hell and the Islamo-Christian doctrine of salvation will inevitably lead to atrocity. Wouldn't you use lethal force if necessary to prevent me from throwing your child into a lake of fire? How about if my speaking out against your religion caused your child to reject Jesus and thereby be damned to a lake of fire? When you have a devil to fight and a Hell to "save" loved ones from, the stakes are as high as they can be and any inhumanity can be sanitized.
Christianity is like a rabid dog that has been caged and muzzled. It chafes against its constraints. One can say it's harmless because it hasn't bitten anyone lately but that's only because of its cage. Islam is like the same dog running free. It's only more dangerous because it hasn't been caged yet but it's no better or worse than the caged rabid dog.

Agreed. I'm just reacting to Christians who self-righteously criticize Muslim actions when I know full well their own religion would do the same if it could.
I'll be happy when both "rabid dogs" (to cite my analogy above) are not only caged but put down.
