And yet, about 99.9% of atheists here and otherwise insist on arguing against an ancient, out-dated, and poorly interpreted version of Christianity.

One would think a divinely inspired religion would not suffer such shabby earthly fates as early obsolescence, and the loving diety at the heart of it would have studied his own creation, recognized the unfortunate propensity to misinterpretation that somehow slipped into his intelligent design, and had chosen a less error prone method of communicating what the correct version of Christianity should be.

Never mind we killed countless millions in the name of god before, we are much better than you now.
