I hope no one will be confused about the "kudos" for that. I hope you mean that you do not treat your wife like shit, and that is the reason for the kudos. However, I completely disagree with the idea that any of this has anything to do with the Bible. You should treat your wife well because she is a human being, and, hopefully, you actually care about her. This has nothing whatever to do with religion.
The bible goes far above and beyond treating your wife 'well.' The love we are to work to display has one dying for her, as Christ died for the church. It is hard to imagine one willing to die for one's wife if can manage to treat her well.
