Can an atheist be ethical like theists

Wait a minute the thread isn't insulting I didn't assume that atheists are necessarily immoral my points were always about certain phenomenons and how can an atheist rationalize why they're wrong that doesn't mean I'm accusing any one of being immoral in a short version how can they control these phenomenons in a society if relegion did not exist .

Sigh, why can't you guys do something as simple as an online search? These threads have been around for about a gazillion times and answered ad nauseam. In short, as a member of society I know that it's frowned upon to axe your neighbour or take a dump in the street. And not being a psychopath, I don't feel any need to do so. It's called empathy and if you really want to educate yourself, it's present in animals too. Simple video search on google will net you the research results on apes, dogs, even bears and elephants.
