Sounds to me like all three of you (housemate included, hi there) assumed I consider being gay to be a bad thing.
Also, didn't call him gay. Just saying that was a statement that was rather homosexual in nature.

What's the point of even making such a statement other than to imply that it's somehow bad? "That's the gayest thing I've ever read" implies that there's something intrinsically negative or noteworthy about being gay or gay things.
