They were wanting to add a state raptor (bird of prey) rather than change the state bird. It was a harmless bill created by kids to help them see how government works.... or doesn't work, in this case. These people in the state legislature should have just passed the bill rather than acting like bunch of crotchety old men telling a bunch of kids to get off their lawn.
Also, if you don't like kids being used for anything political then you should have a problem with this guy using a bill created by kids to push his political view regarding abortion.
