Given that there exists a large group of drug dealers in the social underworld for quite some time, it seems atypical to focus on a specific dealer. There is a pervasive culture of street narcotics -- one that is getting lesser attention than some overly litigious fool who now is exposed for his narcotics trades.
On a previous forum I was a member of, now defunct, for several years we had one member who was a former cocaine dealer. As you might imagine, we were natural born enemies, rarely agreed on anything. This particular person had told the story several times of how one of their children was shot dead in front of them, at their house, they knew who the shooter was and the police did nothing. We had two very different perspectives on this.
My perspective - you have no right to appeal to the law when you are a career criminal who was at the time dealing coke and thus committing crimes against the State and against the community. I further pointed out that they had never served a single day of incarceration for their crimes, and that their child was killed because of their own doing.
Their perspective was that the police shouldn't discriminate, especially as their child wasn't the drug dealer. That they had a duty to the community to remove that person from society.
