apparently atheist agnostic is contradictory

RE: apparently atheist agnostic is contradictory
So the epicness of the response I got from my brother is just.. I had to share Big Grin Has anyone else on this planet heard of the 'chernobyl effect' or did he just make that up?

Brother: Lol. And tadpoles gestate four legs and amphibean organs in a matter of weeks. Caterpillars transform into butterflies under a month. Mammals grow skeletons and nervous systems inside the womb in less than 10 months!!! Alot of things grow legs...like radioactive fish? Lol. THERES NO RADIATION IN AUSTRALIA!!! Just another example of mankind fucking up the perfect genetic balance of nature and using the chernobylzed species to forget God. Why dont you show the world a fish that doesnt live in a perfectly organized ecosystem? Or a leg that isnt structured like a perfect instrument for locomotion? Or ANY example of how a fish completely unconsciously developing a leg over a period of even ONE million years makes ANY logical sense.for.the.survival of their species? They....live....to be.eaten.... !!!!! Thats why they are in the ocean, and why other ocean creatures eat.them!!! FOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!! !

Me: Species evolve through adaptation. Even Christians don't deny the fact of evolution anymore, except creationists. Wolves to dogs for example has been proven through the use of genetics. In the fossil record there is a clear description of the evolution of a horse, fish onto land, Australopithecines evolving into hominids, synapsid reptile into mammals, Archaeopteryx, tiktallik, the list goes on brother. These nine species of fish are not from Chernobyl, I assure you that; the reference for this photo is from National Geographic: taken off the coast of Australia.
And fyi lol doesn't go with all caps letters successfully either.

Brother:
wolves to dogs isnt evolution. its the complete opposite actually. its actually a great example of the chernobyl effect i mentioned that you took literally for someone. mankinds toxic soup that has poisoned our air and infected our waters is what causes abominations of God's creations. Evolution didnt bring us here because evolution is the very opposite of what God intended; mindless, self indulgent animals killing and raping eachother without recourse or purpose...which sadly is what we have become. No, God wanted people, with souls and endless reservoirs of love for one another. The big bang was God's will, and a Godless fool will always jump to a scientific discovery as evidence for their mindless theories of evolution and eternal immorality.

Esquilax: Mindless theories? I'll tell you what, Mikey: when you can provide even a single shred of evidence for your god, then I'll take your baseless assertion that he exists seriously. Meanwhile, science has proven over and over again, through indisputable genetic data (human chromosome 2, look it up) a stunningly well documented morphological and fossil record, as well as the powerful, entirely accurate predictive capabilities that evolutionary theory encompasses. So, on the one hand, actual evidence, and on the other... nothing. Absolutely nothing. Good job you have faith, because it's the only thing you have to confirm the existence of ANYTHING in your bible. More than that, you do understand you'll need to demonstrate that god exists before you can say evolution is false because it's not what he intended, right? Because otherwise, it's just more baseless nothing. More than that, do you have any evidence of this "chernobyl effect?" Because biology has furnished countless fossil examples of transitional species when humans didn't even exist. My favorite is Tiktaalik Rosae, something that actually existed in the world, and has left evidence that it did. So... hey. Perhaps I seem irritated here. That's because I am: the scientific community has spent over a hundred years developing and refining evolutionary theory, providing mountains of evidence and using the knowledge gained to improve lives in countless ways, and then you, without a single day of training in any form of science, declares that your uninformed, unevidenced opinion means so much more that a century of dedicated, detailed study from people that know more than either of us ever will. It's the height of arrogance, and then you have the gall to call science immoral? It just confirms the magnitude of the meaninglessness of your thoughts on this subject.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
