A (me): Yup. Nowadays everyone in Bulgaria speaks a foreign language but the most of us speak English. I for one have been learning English since first grade and
finished learning it about 3 or 4 years ago. I've covered all the requirements for the C2 level (A1 is for those who have just begun learning and C2 is for
completers who know the language at 99%) but never went to the exam to get the certificate because it's too expensive for me.
Even though I know the differences between American English and UK English, I prefer to speak American English and to use American idioms and phrases.
Which is why I often say "I'm gonna", "I gotta" or "I wanna" instead of their British counterparts.
