If the quran is issued by any other than god than surely they would've found in it inner contradictions.

It has the following contradiction:

surah 2:62
Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.

This contradicts the following:

surah 98:6,7
The unbelievers among the people of the book (christians and jews) and the pagans shall burn forever in the fire of hell. They are the vilest of all creatures.

Therefore the quran is not the word of god.

I believe our lives are the sum total of the choices we make, regardless of whether we are religious or not. My life hasn't changed much, in the sense that I still choose to make good decisions, even if it's hard, or I struggle. The struggles of life will always be before us, whether you believe in a deity or not. It is in how you react to those struggles that makes the difference, as to the quality of life you might lead.

Same for me.

Abandoning Christianity and religion in general, has made me more aware of my own decisions, now, instead of looking for some outside force to rescue me. Not believing in Bible lies anymore, freed me to thinking clearer about a lot of issues. I also stopped letting people treat me like crap, which when I was religious, people for some reason took that as a license to take advantage of me.

I am not particularly found of religion as it is used now a days. I myself dislike theological institutions and being religious has no benefits, it is just a personal choice. You like one color and I like another.

So, how has religion made your life better?

You just contradicted yourself since you specifically stated that religion or not it makes no difference in our lives experiences. I never made a claim at all saying that being religious makes one's life better and if anything religion in the usual sense is extremely harmful. Theism is one thing but religion is another.
