There's also a sizeable black (of Caribbran origin so Christian) population in Birmingham, and although they tend to be poorer on average, they've had less problem integrating in. Any Muslims I know who are secular and make an effort get places as well. One of my best friends growing up was Muslim, from an Iranian family who left Iran after the Shah was overthrown, they're very secular and have never struggled for anything.

I've done a few threads on this very topic.

There's virtually no integration by Muslim communities in England IMO. Last time I went through Alum Rock and Bordesley Green, I literally felt like a foreigner, which isn't an exaggeration by any means. There's giant mosques everywhere, everyone drives like a complete cunt*, people treat the place like it's Pakistan or whatever other Muslim shithole it is they came from and they're run down, miserable and generally quite scary places to be. 

It's sad. And yet people who haven't directly experienced it don't see any problem. They go on like multiculturalism is this great thing without any flaws and if you point out how it's failed then you're some kind of intolerant, racist dick.

Here's the thing though, I didn't feel like a foreigner because everyone else was brown (and they are in those places). I felt like a foreigner because everyone else was clearly from a Muslim culture that is so alien and at odds with culture everywhere else in the country. Like you say, black dudes from Jamaica have had no issues integrating. You can go down the pub with people like that. You can't really go down the pub with the average Muslim in this country.

Doesn't mean there aren't those few who buck the trend ofcourse, my bro went out with a girl from Iran and she was what I'd consider 'integrated'. She certainly didn't mind going the pub. On the whole though, Muslim communities are a big fucking problem in this country, but mainstream politics, the media etc. won't ever come to that conclusion because it's not Politically Correct. Instead they talk about things like the Trojan Horse scandal in Birmingham schools, or plots of terrorism in Islamic book stores in Alum Rock as though they are isolated incidents of 'extremism'.

* Did you know Bordesley Green has the highest rate of uninsured drivers in the country? Including many other parts of Birmingham?* even Bradford, which has a high Asian/Muslim population has a high rate of uninsured drivers. Maybe it's just coincidence though...

Well yeah, there are some areas I wouldn't feel comfortable with. My Nan lives by Alum Rock and she's the only non-Muslim there I know of.

You have the opposite as well though. Muslims are like mythical creatures in the area I live in, they're so rare here.

Historically Britain is a white Christian nation (which is significantly different for example to when some Americans get a little pissy about immigrants, those guys are a nation of immigrants, Britain simply isn't). They probably should be rare "mythical creatures". You don't see many (read: any) white Christian communities taking over Pakistan. Instead what you have here are huge communities of Muslims, with hundreds of Mosques, Islamic schools with Islamic style segregation, Islamic food etc. all completely at odds with the culture of this country and how it has been for hundreds of years.

I live in an area where there's virtually no Muslims. However where I used to live, Chelmsley Wood, is mostly white British with a few from the Afro-Caribbean community. The Afro-Caribbean's never had any issue integrating. They speak the same language, they wear the same clothes and they still go down the pub like any good British fella would. They're certainly not at odds with British culture (some Somalians seem to be different though, but guess what, Somalians are mainly Muslims). However with the immigration travesty that has happened to this country I've started to see many more Muslims in this community recently that have never otherwise been there.

And what a surprise, they don't look like they're integrating. No, they're walking around in their black ninja attire, speaking a foreign language and you can spot them a mile away. If I'm being brutally honest it makes me feel physically sick. Not because of what they are wearing, or what they are speaking, in and of itself. But because of what that represents. A culture entirely at odds with my own, a culture that is fundamentally backwards and barbaric IMHO, and that belongs back in the middle-east where it spawned. I know a lot of people go on about 'losing their national identity', and 'fearing for their culture'. Many of these people are racist numpties who support parties like the BNP or the EDL etc. but I can kind of understand some of the sentiment behind it. Do I think my culture is at risk of being wiped out by Islamic culture any time soon? No, but people are getting tired of it. Ordinary people. I honestly believe that's why UKIP has done so well for themselves. People want something done about immigration and UKIP are seemingly the only party who want to talk about it. In the minds of many ordinary Brits, immigration is a major issue, in large part due to the muslim communities that simply don't integrate like what I've been talking about.
