I don't have the patience for this.  I'd prefer to concede that somebody or some group of historical people are the inspiration for at least some of the stories attributed to the Jesus character in the bible.  

Naturally, Washington's having been a real historical person doesn't guarantee that the cherry tree chopping story.  Likewise any claims of miracles and divinity in reference to the Jesus guy(s) are not vouchsafed by their having been flesh and blood.

So I would really appreciate hearing what you think follows from Jesus and George being a couple of regular guys.  Jesus is historical.  So what?
