I stand corrected - it seems that it was indeed a no knock warrant. Which leads to the question of why the cops claim they bothered to knock and announce when they didn't have to.

You can knock, announce, break down the door and open fire in well under 2 seconds. 1 with practice.
That doesn't leave much time for good decision making.

Except for an immediate threat to life - I don't think cops should use it.
Somebody breaks down my door in the middle of the night screaming and yelling - is probably going to be met by at least a few 10mm rounds....
Naw... I quit getting the paper when it went to 3 times a week...
