My dad had mild Parkinson's and was actually high-functioning for quite a long time. As he's advanced in age, the decline's become been more rapid. The related dementia's been a silver lining, though, because this guy actually doesn't get what's going on with him.
Yesterday, he grumbling about me missing the bus and having to take me to school, yet again. When I told him I was 38 and drive now, he just raised an eyebrow and said...
"Alright. You can take me to work, then.
Don't wreck my car."
"I've got it, man. No problem."
