Fuck.
She gave birth to her third child earlier this year and had passed her boards to be a licensed nurse practitioner only a month ago. Now this. All I can say is that my kid's a fighter and tough as hell. She's certainly handling the news better than me and rejects any words of pity or displays of sadness. She plans to participate in a half-marathon in September and is determined to make the most of everything before the worst of it sets in. I admire her spirit.
My sympathies to her, bud -- not that she'd want to hear it, lol. No doubt you and Mom had a lot to do with her fighting spirit, and no doubt y'all will be there to help her too.
