Like I always try to explain to you Muppets, the whole bible is all about Jesus, the old testament is telling you about Jesus through symbolism.

For instance when a lamb was sacrificed it had to be without blemish, symbolizing Jesus who was the lamb of god and without sin. Jesus is also the high priest that stands between God and man making Intercession on man's behalf.

The Priests job was to make intercession for the people (through sacrifices and offerings ect.) and had to be without blemish just like the aforementioned lamb, This is to symbolize Jesus in the role of the High Priest who was without sin, interceding on our behalf.
LOL. What the hell does God need symbolism for? What a joke.
Because the bible is not for everyone, it is for the elect. Therefore it is written in a way that only the elect (through revelation) will understand.
