When something bad happens to you and ppl around you ignore you because they "don't know what to say."
I call BS. It isn't hard to say "I just wanted to let you know I'm so sorry for what happened and for what you're going through. I can't imagine it. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you."
You ignore, not because you don't know what to say. But because you don't want to be burdened with any sort of interaction with someone who is going through anything out of the ordinary.
Eff that. And eff you. I can't wait to move out of this damn town and never see any of you ever again.

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
