I'm happy I figured out how to stop Facebook from pestering me about my upcoming 20th high school reunion. Facebook is dumb when it comes to events. You can't just disappear/remove yourself from the invitee list if someone invited you. Instead, you have to explicitly click on the "can't make it" button, the result of which is seen by everyone. And even after that you're still part of the group.
Maybe I'm weird, but as an apathetic introvert, nothing about a high school reunion appeals to me. But, for some reason, the people who are all gung-ho about it get offended if you tell them that (like I did 10 years ago). I didn't ask to be invited. It's nothing personal. I liked high school. Even the people who weren't my friends were nice enough. But I've moved on. I keep tabs on the 5 or so people that were in my class that I cared about on social media (out of just over 100), but I don't even remember the rest of you.
