CIJS,
I'm very grateful that I've decided to self-study mathematical analysis. In particular, while I was doing some proof exercises today, I experienced firsthand how awesome it is to harmonize various mathematical ideas, exercises, and theorems in order to establish the truth of a given mathematical statement, which IMO, was a very rewarding endeavor.
Also, I'd like to thank Daniel Solow for his book "How to Read and do Proofs": he emphasized the importance of being able to fill in the details of a proof written by someone else and to effectively make sense of it via self-explanation and learning to spot key words which indicate the usage of basic proof-writing techniques. This skill has been invaluable to me, especially when I need to make sense of the proofs that have been presented in my analysis book.
