If there is a God out there who is in charge of us all, then that being should be held responsible. If you see a child about to get fatally harmed, will you not do what is within your power to save that child? Or do you just coldly let them die (assuming that you were able to save them otherwise)?
Of course we should do all we can to save that child but this has really nothing to do with why that child
may be going to suffer.
Suppose that child in a previous life as an adult raped and killed somebody.
The bill has got to be paid if there going to be any justice and the universe can continue to exist.
If nothing would happen to that person that in this life is a child he will continue to cause trouble for himself and for other.
In his consciousness his past is all registered.
There is no escape to his karma.
