I simply asked CL to define those words as I do not understand her use of compassion so removed from the act. So then inlight of what we (Cl and I) were discussion I was asking if there was some other reason besides and exhibition of pity did she intend when she offer her words... Then I asked why?
Why? because I see that as an offensive act. In other cultures say Korean, pitying someone in a similar situation could be construed as an offensive act. So I was wondering if she even knew why she said what she said or was it just a cultural reaction.
Did I clarify enough?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
