She didn't try to hide her "swampiness." I'm just of the opinion that Trump is equally "swampy," he just masked it with his promises and rhetoric.
I don't really see how people think this to be honest.
What ties does Trump have to the political classes that get anywhere near the level of corruption that Hillary Clinton has? Genuinely asking because I'd like to know.
Trump ain't a saint and I'd never portray him as such, all people with that much money are doing dodgy dealings somewhere along the line. He doesn't represent the common man of non-privilege by any stretch. But for me, if you put it in perspective, to say Trump is equally swampy? Really?
One of the biggest things going for him, is that he really doesn't give a fuck about pandering to special interests. Why would he? He can afford to fund his own campaign for one example, why would he be in the backpocket of anyone but himself.
He himself isn't stuck in the same mold of political cronyism and corruption as Clinton simply due to the fact that he hasn't yet had a chance to be. And you're right, Trump might not be beholden to special interest groups, but the people he's choosing to run the country for him sure as hell are. I'm not talking about Trump as an individual, I'm talking about his cabinet and administration as a whole.
