OP's article did mention that. It's sort of hard to pretend that Trump didn't have a positive impact on this one.
It's hard but people will still do it because they have their heads so far up their own asses to admit they might be wrong. It's what happens when you sit in an echo chamber and listen to the same bullshit over and over.
