Quote:As a result of what PC, SJW, BLM? LOL, no.
As a result of a slow down of policing due to the vilification of the police. Again, I’m not saying the police are blameless or that cops who commit crimes shouldn’t be held accountable. There are lots of problems with the police but those problems don’t explain ALL the problems in the African American community.
Quote:No, you didn't do it once, you did it over and over and over.
Show me one example. Just one. Let’s see it.
You must know that a big conservative criticism of liberals is their tendency name call anyone who disagrees with them. Just like you’re trying to do now. If I defend the police in any way shape or form then I’m Pro civil rights abuses?? C’mon, you’re better than this.
Quote:With friends like you.....
Friends like me try to help as honestly as possible. I’ve never been a yes man and I’m a good friend to have.
Quote:Awesome, now people who find the idea of thug cops abhorrent are bigots. You've definitely got the script.
Missed the point again. By a mile.
Yes, there are thug cops, and yes, the cops need better training, and yes there are problems that the police forces must admit to and try to correct.
But once again you miss the point. So I’ll repeat. There is no future in which there are no black people and there is no future without police. The ONLY solution is for the community and the police to come together. Period. That won’t happen with an insistence that all cops are thugs any more than an insistence that all blacks are thugs. You know, the liberal position.
Quote:Workable solutions like not violating civil rights, or workable solutions like shutting our mouths about civil rights abuse because that makes us bigots and hurts the cops feelers?
Workable solutions like bringing the cops and the community together rather than driving them apart. That is the whole of it and I wish you could just admit that perhaps, just perhaps, that’s not such a terrible idea.
I’ve not suggested anywhere that civil rights abuses be ignored. Cops do get away with these kinds of things. (I am opposed to the entire concept of grand juries).
There absolutely will be a need to change the way the police operate. “codes of silence” for instance will need to be dealt with. Cops refusing to be a witness against criminal cops is a problem. But that doesn’t absolve the black community of doing exactly the same thing with their own code of silence by refusing to “snitch” against equally vile criminals. I’ve recently heard several black people talking about this particular problem. So, no, I'm not absolving ANYONE of improper behavior.
If god was real he wouldn't need middle men to explain his wants or do his bidding.
