Frankly the GOP could've picked a far worse nominee. And they have in the past.
IMO the Left has relied far to much on the courts anyway over the past half century or so. They'd do well to focus on legislation. De facto legislation via the courts is all fine and good for a quick fix. But without support from a significant majority of Americans, that quick-fix will be steadily chipped away at.
And about the on-going Senate Inquisition of ACB...
1. I'm pleasantly surprised to find that this particular GOP nominee hasn't raped anybody.
2. I think the Kavanaugh Inquisition was mostly bullshit- hell, more than one of his accusers have retracted their accusations. As for Ford... well, some things just can't be proven three decades after the fact.
3. Even though the Kavanaugh Inquisition was mostly bullshit... I think it was semi-effective bullshit. He'll be hated for the rest of his life by half the country. But more importantly- the GOP has been forced to nominate a squeaky-clean non-rapey judge. That's not insignificant.
