And this is why I keep assuming that if you store guns, you keep them unloaded.
If a gun is in a locked safe it is irrelevant if it is loaded. It should however NOT have a round chambered. If there is a fire - you don' t want rounds cooking off in a chamber - endangering first responders. Revolvers should be unloaded.
Bullets cooking off in a fire make noise but are of little consequence.
Even so, if it's a good safe, the slug won't be a danger.
