Life is a game.
If someone would tell you where is the nugget of gold then there wouldn't be the game in the first place.
The consciousness would never expand and the small would stay small but the game goes on and on so the consciousness expand and one day the small become big.
Yeah except while you're looking for the gold nugget you're also being violently sodomized and branded. Don't front, the whole idea of heaven is this place where you get all that bullshit reward and this life is utterly meaningless by comparison. This is literally nothing but a cruel punishment if it's the product of the design of this monster and spending eternity in their presence would literally be debatably as bad as eternal hellfire. Let's not forget most holy texts want us to stop thinking and asking questions, so that shows expansion of consciousness going right out the fucking window. Gods like their lofty position and lording it over the little people because they can't show us that they're actually in fact better than us by being humble and empathetic. More powerful, sure, but better? Fuck no. They're no different than the aliens from Independence Day, simply in possession of superior means but not interested in any way in being humanitarian.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
