Do I believe in God?
Where do we get the idea of a deity? We must refer to religious literature to say that we would know of a deity. In reference to the Christian religion, one would refer to the Bible to say that they would know about God. The Christian faith is laid upon Christians by the Bible. If you ask one of the more "experienced" and more public atheists, they would be able to tell you that the Bible is VERY flawed. As a man of reason, I would not put all my water in a bucket full of holes. Any literate being can write a book. Hitler wrote a book. Hitler was a persuasive man who convinced millions of people to think as he did. With as many people who have walked this earth, there is a very high probability that there was someone, similar to Hitler, who could write a very convincing story that would catch on with the general public and eventually people started to believe that the story was true. With nobody truly knowing if any religious being exists, I fall to an analysis, similar to a statistician. As the probability is high for this hypothesis to be true, that would lead to the Bible being "man-made", thus falsifying the Bible being the "Word of God" and thus falsifying Christianity.
So, to answer the question if I believe in God? The odds are not in Gods' favor.
