Why he get sick?
You can bet that he didn't look after his health so by becoming sick he will learn to look after his health in a better way.
Why he got mugged?
You can bet that he was not enough careful maybe by going around in unsafe places or by showing off or so many other way which attract the attention of criminals.
Car wreck?
Driving under the influences of so many items.
Going too fast or not paying attention to the road rules.
By getting hurt he may learn how to avoid troubles but again all these troubles may well be a direct consequences of previous wrong actions in this or in previous lives so again the trouble always come for a good reason.
Blaming the victim? Nice. What would you say about someone's child that was raped, what can the child learn from that?
1) I believe that this was a direct consequence of actions in a previous life.
Probably he was a rapist himself.
As you probably know the cops only manage to get less than 10% of criminal so by having not been apprehended and paid for his crimes in a previous life he had to pay for his previous mistakes in this life.
He raped in the past and in this life he will be raped.
2) How can he learn the lesson?
The outer mind can not possibly remember what happen in past life but the inner consciousness know 100% of the past.
By carrying this heavy load the inner consciousness can not possibly rest in peace so the only way to find peace of mind is to get rid of that burden.
How does it get rid of the burden?
By recreate the same circumstances in which the action took place and therefore getting rid of the burden.
Now don't ask me for evidence that the system work in this way.
This is what i believe and it make 100% sense to me.
