One moron once accused me of believing in the Big Bang because an astrophysicist said it was true. He equated this to some shithead theologian proclaiming his "bible" ( or koran....you aren't special ) to be true.

The thing is I know that if were so inclined I could enroll in a university and obtain a degree in astrophysics and then I would not have to listen to the reasonable explanations of Neil De Grasse Tyson ( for example ) but could instead do my own. However, were I to expend an equivalent amount of time and energy on theology it would still qualify me to do nothing except quote off a bunch of random supernatural bullshit.

Kids who waste their lives learning to recite the fucking koran are pretty much in that boat.

If you believe that the bible is bullshit, why actually spend time debating on it and spend your valuable minutes in which any of you could study some astrophysics to outline the main points on why you're not a christian?
The reason why people study theology is akin to why people study philosophy. Either, they're interested, like me, but I do not study theology, or they do it due to their profession(priests, imams, rabbis, monks and etc.).

In truth, the spelling of the name changes. Like, what kind of a difference would it make if I called it Qoran? Or Kuran(which is the Turkish spelling).
