I've been wondering about something similar. Do atheists raise their kids atheist, like theists raise their kids theists? Cos if they do then such atheists are doing exactly what some atheists claim theists do: indoctrinating their own kids from a very young age into a view of the world at large that the kids haven't chosen for themselves.
If that's the case, these atheists are passing their own beliefs and values onto the next generation the same way theists do.

Why doesn't God get rid of evil? Simple! He doesn't support censorship of any kind.
If you find people who do what you call "evil" things objectionable, and you go about trying to stop them doing those "evil" things, you are in effect trying to ban - or censor - a behaviour based on a particular point of view.
Let me explain. Gay people believe that it's ok for them to have sex with each other. And so they do the chocolate chute thing all night, every night. Along come those anti-queer crusaders, and they try to stop what these guys are doing. They make gay sex illegal. Then they ban all gay pornography. Then they throw in jail any psychologist who says gay sex is ok. And so on, and so on.
Now, if you do exactly this to people who think it's ok to go around stealing from others and conning little old ladies out of their old-age pensions, you do to criminals exactly what the anti-gay crusaders want to do to homosexuals.
That is why God, if he exists, permits people to express themselves in ways "good" people call "evil".
If you think God does not exist, the same argument applies to Mother Nature: Mother Nature doesn't support censorship of any kind either. Either way, the world in which we live was "intended" to be free of censorship.
That well-known argument you've quoted is actually an argument for censorship. Do you support censorship then?
The interesting thing about Truth is that Truth is still Truth even if the devil speaks it. The interesting thing about Lies is that Lies are still Lies even if God speaks them.
