this is always an awkward moment for me, introducing myself.
never quite sure what to type.
yes phillip is my real name.
i live in florida.
lover of chess, and baduk (also known as go).
I'm a computer programmer by profession.
i was born into the christian faith, but started questioning my beliefs around the age of 15. my mother is a bit of a religious nut. she reads the bible every day, goes to church at least twice a week. she's nice enough, but a bit over zealous at times. as for myself, I'm still searching for what i believe.
currently I'd classify myself as a deist. i believe God exists, but i think he's closer to Einstein's God than my mother's.

We have several deists around here. Most tend to be well above the level of fundie nutjobs that sprinkle allah or jesus dust around.

Einstein was considered a pantheist for the longest time, until some new letters came out that now make him look straight out atheistic.
