Unless Mr. Frothy wants to pay child support and for babysitting service to every woman out there whom he doesn't want to use contraception, the he should shut the fuck up. I've got two kids and don't want any more, but I still want to be able to make love to my wife without worrying about popping out more kids. It's not like that we're going to break out the whips & chains or become swingers just because we use some form of contraception. Even if that were the case, it's still none of Frothy's business.

Remember, (P)Rick said that he actually believes the government belongs in people's bedrooms:

When you ask candidates what they would be doing on a Saturday night instead of running for president, all the shills say "watching the football champion ships" Ron Paul says... "Reading economic textbooks" That's the guy you want for president.

We are intellectuals here, we can see past the religious bs, so why can't we apply our critical thinking to politics, its all the same thinking mechanisms.

Obama? Yeah I drank it all up, I voted, donated, thought the guy was "real" thought he was going to do all these things. That's the price I pay for getting into politics during the 2008 election. Sure we can say the republicans have been hindering what he wants to do, but I don't see him calling them out or actually fighting to change anything. I see status quo people, and you do to. I still see a country without healthcare, a country who murders and invades sovereign counties, and can now detain US citizens, and are trying to also shut down our internet communication. SOPA, NDAA. Who is still run by the 1%, banks still rule.

There is a right left paradigm going on in this country, can't we see they both strive for the same basic things, but differ on things like "Birth Control" "Gays" "abortions" it is made to polarize the people into distinct parties who are against each other, for reasons of control. Democrats and Republicans are much much more alike then we think. They differ on social issues to create an artificial debate for the people to squawk about, so we "think" we are making a difference with our vote, when their economic and foreign policies are very identical. Deep down most people just want the same simple things, so they create these issues to divide us.

Are you kidding? They've got their own TV show now. They've got, what is it, 19 kids now, and she was pregnant again but had a miscarriage. So give them time, they'll pop out a few more.

The sad part is their oldest son is married with one or two kids, and his wife wants to have 20.

It is difficult to know what Mitt Romney actually believes, after knowing about his record as Governor of Massachusetts. Apart from being a corporate whore, I have no idea who Mitt Romney is, unlike say with the rest of the Republican hopefuls.

While I agree that both parties have a similar end goal in mind, the means by which they accomplish this goal are what actually matter - thus we have multiple parties (each thinking they know the correct methods to accomplish said end goal).

A unifying method is an ideal but ultimately a contradiction. Mans' opinion differs too much for this to ever be possible. The best one can do is to sway as many people as they can to adopt their methods - thus they create the social discussions (because unfortunately the majority of people aren't capable of political thought or any real thought for that matter). While the statistic is falling, religious individuals still dominate the high majority of the population - thus it is very intelligent to tap into this.

The essential difference between methods is very simple, and something which most people think is common sense when given both positions.

Republican - small government, people support themselves, civil liberties, individual freedom the individual
Democrat - large government, people support each other, collective liberties, collective freedom collective

It is highly likely that younger, single individuals support a republican mindset right off the bat, while older, married (parents) support a democratic mindset right off the bat. There are positives and negatives to each, which is why we work together to make the best solution - not everyone can support themselves, but no one should be forced to support someone else (an essential paradox between mindsets).

The best we can do is put someone in office who understands this and works to incorporate the best methods from each mindset to get to the end goal in the most efficient and positive manner.

The philosophical question: What is the most efficient or positive manner?

And that's the beauty of perspective.

Birth control is, you know, controlling birth. Religion is, you know, sexual repression. I'm not seeing advanced mathematics in play, here...
