11 reasons god doesn't exist.

RE: 11 reasons god doesn't exist.
Atheists are supposed to be intelligent, ya know.. Tell you what don't make sense. Using what you call reason against what they call faith. And here's more of the same old same... know what faith's got? Counterstrategy. Wink

In two, ya ready?

1. God:

2. I ain't hearing otherwise.

And if you really wanna get atheistic about it; tell me, what am I, right now?

Wrong answer.

Electrostatic potential; a condition of the circumstance of the patterning of neural connectivity and perhaps conductivity. But only for a moment, and the moment's gone... The scale and the span of the activity of a certain I is reactivity to emotional context. Where solipsism is not falsified, all that need be done is I, deny god.

And god cannot exist.

BibleGod is supposed to be omnipotent and omniscient. An omnipotent being can do anything. An omniscient being can only do what it's foreseen it WILL do. Q.E.D.

Yahweh isn't omnipotent until the end of the NT. He couldn't defeat an army that had iron chariots. He only had the strength of a unicorn. He needed six days to make the universe and then needed to rest for a whole day.

Yes, you did copy it... thus you too wrote it... and therefore I may quote you to my whim. I don't know who wrote it *first*, and I don't care. Because I gots me a parrot hat, complete with awesome hair.

Braveheart;

In Gulliver's Travels, when Gulliver is in Lilliput, he is confronted by a livid philosopher who tells him to fuck off. He's upset because he has proved Gulliver cannot possibly exist.

Logical is not a synonym for true. It was the so called neo-Platonists who began to claim truth can be discovered by reason alone. This began a tradition of sophistry used by such Christian thinkers as Augustine and Aquinas.

Sorry, you have proved nothing. To do so you will need to provide some credible evidence to support your claim. Lots of luck proving a negative.

Nice try though. Tiger

The only way we can know if god exists, is to perhaps drown a member of the forum..? Then revive them swiftly using defibrilators. Then they may come back on here and prove us all right/wrong! However, this would still only be a first person experience, as you can't take a camera into death with you. ):

My question now is... Who's going to volunteer to be drowned?

It's BETTER than nothing! Unless we all individually drown and revive ourselves?

Is it? It was my understanding that NDE are completely worthless accounts when it comes to discerning the nature of the universe.
If that's the case then how is it better than nothing? It isn't better than nothing because it also comes with the attached risk that the person in question may not be revived, and thus you would be committing murder.

Doing nothing then, would be better? Angel Cloud

Feel free to drown yourself but fuck if I'm doing it Big Grin
