Adding to what Dar said, the US is like every country out there, full of people from stupid to bright, but its the most powerfull nation on earth, and the idea of stupid religious zealots taking over the country really frightens me. The US had the oportunity of a fresh start, with the knowledge from what happened before in the 'old world', and that transpired in the work of the founding fathers. IMO, the US since they won WW2, became decadent, spoiled by the power it grown. To make things worse, the education system has not been improving, thus leading to even more decay of public awareness, making shitbag politicians more probable to be elected.

My own country isn't perfect, most probably its worse here than on the US, but the US had the chance of being the shiny beacon of human progress and blown it.

I voted other because I couldn't really choose from any other choice. The USA as a piece of land is probably the most amazing country in the world. Politics wise, it's a load of turd. But then again, I don't really care that much for the politics of countries which I don't live in. As long as it doesn't affect me.

As for Americans as a people, they are much like any other country. Mostly normal with a dash of crazy. However they do tend to be a lot prouder of their bat shit insane people than most other countries.

I like the USA, even though it is full of ignorant people (including me), such people who make it the greatest country in the world (after Russia, but that's personal. And I guess China will be taking over soon), but whose representing politicians are ruining us.
