Bah, I'm more familiar with excuses than I am with racist remarks from over yonder.

Using particular language to get a rise out of people is flaming. That's generally considered bad conduct.

As I said, Shell, you said that you were uncomfortable, and I stopped using the term. As a matter of fact, I replaced it with "euros", which was the word for which I used the previous word for.
That's it.
Not that I think that I committed a transgression towards any europeans whatsoever.
