Tim:. At 18, terrific idea.. A great adventure, and very broadening..

Do you plan to have go at learning Swedish before you become a guest in their country? Or do you simply expect everyone to make an effort to speak English?

Um,have you actually BEEN to Sweden? You may hate it,or they may hate you.

Find out as much about the country as you can before going. People will be pleased you have taken the trouble and it will make your stay easier and more pleasant.

Certainly not.
All I'm saying is that EU countries are not better than America.
If you want to eat kötbuller and see a lot lot of blonde-haired orange people for the rest of your life, yes, go for it. But other than that, there is nothing so damn special that makes it any different.

Right. Keep the questions coming!

The swedish spelling for Lundborg is Lundborg Smile

It is clean. It is organized. It has a good health care system for citizens.

And those blondes (who tend not to be orange) are amazing.

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Has it to do with the fact that the European Union wont let Turkey in?

And that's why Sweden mostly receives immigrants from poorer countries like middle eastern countries and african countries like Somalia, for example. And those only work in jobs that the Swedes themselves don't want to work, like scrubbing toilets, and working at construction sites.
Besides, if you do not have the means to live in a clean and organized environment in America(like you do not live in a ghetto), or receive adequate healthcare, it's best you do not go to Sweden, if you resent working for the Swedes in the jobs they themselves don't want to do, and live along with some strange mussulman people from various parts of the orient...

I don't know what you mean by that, but it's not really due to a personal vendette of mine or something against the EU.
Ask any one from their neighbors what they think about Sweden, and they'll tell you the same.

I'm not being absolute.
But I'd like for you to examine how things work in the US and EU.
EU countries such as the ones in scandinavia have supposedly higher quality lifestandards due to their lower populations. Do you think that Sweden would have such good lifestandards if it had the population that Germany has to deal with?
And as I said, even in Europe, your quality of life is quite proportional to the amount of money, and the type of job you have.
