The new guy seems like one of these new age, spiritualist, vibrations and ascension types. They all go round saying "Namaste" and stuff like that.

That's because they have only just discovered 'The Beatles'

Nameste is as generic as hello in Buddhist countries...nothing more.

Although there are those who would like to APPEAR "enlightened" by saying as such (read western countries) because it is cool and fashionable.... quite frankly I think they should keep their hands out of the "metaphysical pants"

That's exactly correct.

It's just another way of saying "Hello". It stands out and is unique. I chose to use a unique term because I enjoy being creative and doing things that stand out. I also personally view it as a very respectful way to say hello. It conveys respect (or at least it does to those who understand it)

How was I to know that by using that word it would cause someone to go off the deep end?

As for concepts above one's head';it seems you are under the mistaken impression that 'logical' is synomym for 'true',it is not. A logical inference is true if and only if the premise is demonstrably true. Sophistry is not proof.

PLUS the basis of scientific method is that to be accepted,an hypothesis must be testable though observation.To be rejected it must falsifiable.

So far in recorded history,nobody has been able to prove or falsify the existence of gods,the soul,the spiritual, angels,demons,the paranormal, dragons, mountain trolls or fairies,to name but a few..

The very concept of a "Quantum Field" is a metaphysical idea, yet the premise that such fields exist is foundational to Quantum physics.
