God warned the Israelites for years and they would not repent, if He had not punished them they would have never believed Him. The same for a child, if a parent tells them they will punish him/her and then does not the child will believe they have the upper hand. |

RE: Psalm 137:9
Quote:inspired by God himself. God inspires tales of infants being dashed to pieces? Fuck him. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt because this bullshit was clearly written by men who did not attribute it to your holy sky-daddy. But, maybe I'll take your word for it that the Homicidal Maniac in the sky was behind it. P.S. - when it speaks of an event "to come" that is prophecy. It is far from the only example and lots of them failed to happen. In many cases I don't even think they were originally intended as "prophecy" but rather as execration texts which, since they would actually require a god who could get off his fat ass and do something, aren't going to happen either. |

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust." And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave! -4th verse of the american national anthem |

RE: Psalm 137:9
Christianity is a fraud. The Bible is VERY redundant and trite. I read it and was not inspired. I was actually shocked at how disgusting the Old Testament is. Why do you defend this nonsense anyway? What purpose does it serve to you or anybody else for that matter???
BTW, you should know that your hero, Jesus never existed in history. He is a fabricated and plaigerized amalgamation of various pagan gods. Christianity is even WORSE than Islam in total death count. Become a buddhist, lol, at least you won't feel as persecuted and uptight. |

You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.
There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting. Buddha ![]() |

Quote:No God inspired the sorrow in the heart of the psalmist Take it up with G-C. He's the one who claims your holy horseshit was inspired by his sky-daddy. For myself, you should understand by now that I think it is all bullshit written by power-crazed priests trying to consolidate their hold on ignorant goatherders. |
