Hey everyone... some of you may remember me.. or not. Anyway, I'd like to share my Minecraft server IP as both a way to increase my numbers, making my time spent on it more worth while, and to see if I can get more hits via an atheist forum then I can with PlanetMinecraft =/

I can't promise I'll really "return" to the forum.. although I'd like to. Though, lately, my spare time consists of Minecraft and Minecraft, reading stuff on the internet here and there and as of tonight, the Game Of Thrones book series

1.2 was released publicly like... a few hours ago?

Sooo... no not yet. However I will be keeping an eye on all my plugins in the next few days. I expect bukkit will release a build within a few hours (if they haven't already - I haven't checked yet)

Well, while I wait, you don't have any server policies against redstone clocks, or massive arrays of pistons etc....right? (would be a deal breaker for me..lol)

Dude, if you're any good with redstone, knock yourself out. If it's causing any trouble, I'll deal with it then. But I think you'll be fine.

It's lame arse, useless contraptions that don't contribute to anything, which bug me.

It's easy to replace... or if you use mods, just use a different client like SpoutCraft in the mean time.

I run a server of my own as well, only 8 slots but we generally have about 20-30 people who pass through day to day, nothing too huge.

I never post a link to my server anywhere, though. Even on here I wouldn't; never know when some bible-thumping troll decides to be a real christian and start griefing it up.

You minecrafter's with your abstract architecture always make me so envious. I'm always to worried about whether what I'm building is going to be functional for 'people.' Like how do u get up the stairs or where will you sleep, "is this room big enough?"

I may try and come through later.

I finished the first Thrones book the other day, started on the second recently, and just bought the S1 DVD.

I don't have an issue with griefing.
Before I turned the whitelist off, I spent hours and hours configuring all my plugins to make my worlds as grief free and fair as possible and It's turned out really well. But mind you, I don't exactly get a lot of players. Many have tried to grief and for those who succeed even remotely, it's really easy and quick to clean up.

Anyway, I haven't updated my server just yet. I've been waiting on a generator to update... well that and I've been procrastinating.
This week, it should be updated, but not before I've moved all worlds except the survival world, to a another server I now practically co-own ~ in Oregon.

The server recently suffered an internet downgrade but will be back up to full speed in about two days. It's quite popular, even with the shitty connection for the time being. Rhythm, if you ask for me in-game (VlperX) I'd be happy to set up a protected area on the creative world for you
The server is at 1.2 now and is relatively stable, the only issue for the moment is shitty uploads... but as I said, that should be all gone in two days.

If you just want a server to play vanilla survival on, I downgraded my server's ram (the original server in this thread) so it's less costly and practical to keep up. I'll go through and trim out all the plugins, leaving only Lockette and (maybe) McMMO. So not 100% vanilla, but close enough.
Oh and I plan on whitelisting it to protect my currently players. I'm happy to whitelist upon request however.
