Linville Falls

RE: Linville Falls
I do plan to get there, most definitely. I was actually looking at Allison Woods, but their website is a bit of a mess. It looks like somewhere Shell and I could have a mutual history orgasm over.

Hmm, places that are close. Are you looking more for parks like Linville Falls or historical sites? Don't really know much around here. Boone had a lot, some I made it to, a lot I didn't. Love that area though, want to get back up there. Probably about the same as going to Linville Falls though. People have mentioned Crowders Mountain a few times, haven't been out there myself don't know what it's like. There is Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock where I'm from that I always enjoyed, but that's about 1.5 hours.

Boone's Cave Park in Lexington, NC. There also seems to be some parks in the High Rock Lake area near Salisbury. Morrow Mountain and Uwharrie National Forest are about an hour east. Stone Mountain and South Mountain are off the Blue Ridge Parkway and are about 1.5 hrs north. I've not been to any of these but have heard of some of them. If you are wondering, yes I resorted to Google for these.

Allison Woods is in Statesville?

Yeah, it's in Statesville - you actually gave me more to work with than I had.
