Well, that might sound like a good idea to you, but to me, it sounds like the sort of idea a shit-for brains douchebag might have. Definitely not the sort of thought process I would trust my child with.
On to the next few.
I have 4 children, and my immediate family depends upon me as a breadwinner. Do you think that it might be a good idea to hand some third party who is not part of this family roughly 20% of my weekly pay (before taxes) regardless of how stricken with poverty I might be? Let's say I can't even afford to pay my rent, should I still make this contribution to that third party?
Do you feel that it would be wise to pass legislation favoring or enforcing one set of religious beliefs over another in a country with many different sets of religious beliefs (or even a sector of the public with no religious beliefs)?
Do you feel that aligning public policy to superstition and ancient myths over science or analysis is the best way forward?
Is it your contention that I should be able to withhold lifesaving medical treatment from my child on the grounds of my religion, with no regards to the wishes of the child? Should I be able to leverage my beliefs as a defense in court for such an act, or any other act that might otherwise be unarguably criminal?
Do you see anything above that you might take issue with, something you might oppose? Specifically, something you might oppose from a position other than simple "bitterness"?
