Well tiresome or not I live here and I feel the same way. The GM bail out was brilliant and far too many of my fellow citizens are pretty damned dense. There are trade offs to everything but I definitely don't think we have the best form of government by a long shot. And whatever we're doing to develop and educate the general electorate is not working. Sorry about that but I think its true. You probably do too, Cinjin. You just don't like hearing it from outside our borders, but hell they have to put up with so much from us I think they are at least owed an apology from those of us who realize that .. whether or not the example of their own governments are perfect or not.

There are dense people everywhere. Some of them go on forums and insult other people's countrys to feed their smug feeling of superiority. Idiots live in every country. We have a lot here ... that doesn't justify calling all Americans stupid and then hiding behind a thin compliment of it's current president, who by the way has gotten us into multiple additional military campaigns and/or occupations and has managed to quadruple our national debt.

I see it more as competence within a chaotic demography. If the population ever allowed us as nations to lock our economic demography into a given shape, thus stabilizing the economy, then we would see a marked improvement. There is nothing an economy likes more than stability and a balanced shape.
Most people though cannot even think demographically and that would have to be taught to us first along with the benefits of stabilizing the demographic common.
