Quote:Then it isn't evidence.

Well actually it IS : evidence is ANYTHING produced in support of a proposition, but it is NOT a synonym for proof.

Quote:And no it is not scientific observable repeatable evidence.

Such is indeed evidence. What it is not is credible evidence or proof.
Man is not so much a rational animal as a rationalising one.

I went to a ball game once and a guy held up a sign that said "John 3:16." I looked it up when I got home. It said "Go Dodgers."

Dudette. She signs half her posts Elizabeth and in her intro she said she's a 30 year old mom so I'm guessing it's safe to call her a woman.

Elizabeth I used to play these games with myself, too; trying to find ways to 'prove' it to myself. I used to say, god if you do this then i will believe in you. Then it would happen but I still wasnt convinced because although things happened, I was miserable. So I'd think of something else. The games never stopped and the peace of mind never came. The peace of mind will come when you realize that the reason you have to keep playing these games is because you don't believe it and trying to believe in god will never bring you peace. You will find peace of mind when you reconcile that you are too logical for religion to ever sit well with you.
