It is still avaible somewhere on the internet, search the abandonware game site and you should be able to find it.

If all else fail, i have it on my computer, can share. But the version i have is not compatible with my video card... Too bad...

Or so you think, i too have been gamin since i'm 5 or 6, wich mean a whole 25 years.
At first it was on Coleco and Atari machine, even owned a ''Comodore64'' computer.

Well maybe so LOL (I mean if this is going to be a competition LOL: ) but did you play the same RTS game for 4 years 8-12 hours everyday? Watch thousands of recorded games of it, add 3 different top experts on MSN just so you could talk to them and then spend a year and a half playing Call of Duty 2 for 12-16 hours a day?

LOL - I've probably spent more time playing AoC than doing anything else ??? (that I can think of) Lol. Certainly more than going out :S

Best times ever LOL - even today I couldn't resist still playing 3 games (if you also include the game I played at 4.am this morning before I went to bed as today LOL (since it's within 24 hours).

IF it wasn't so incredibly unhealthy I'd just MIGHT quite happily LIVE in that game LOL (or at least for a few years for a vacation before I came back to real life....then I'd go and do it again for some more few years lol (while playing AoC lots in-between when I came back from my 'AoC vacation' LOL)).

That's IF it WASN'T so incredibly unhealthy remember LOL (Which is the only reason I'm not playing so much anymore Sad ).

It would be quite like the Red Dwarf episode 'Back to reality' only without the Despair Squid LOL (In case anyone knows Red Dwarf AND that EP LOL (Dwayne Dibley!))

I couldn't agree with you less Ev, story is important, you only have to look at newer Hollywood films to see that ... "The Day The Earth Stood Still" has apparently got some truly awesome graphics but in comparison to the 50's version it's absolute shyte. The same concept can (not always) apply in gaming IMO.

Um...I agree with you?

I said it's entirely about gameplay IMO - and the graphics are just a bonus and CAN uplift the gameplay since I think everything is a subset of it in the end....

A game with awesome game play is an awesome game to play.

The same game also with better graphics that are just as playable is PERHAPS more awesome to play (perhaps) - so it adds to the gameplay IMO.

I don't remember mentioning story so I responding to the fact that gameplay is all that matters to me and graphics just can POSSIBLY add to that (make the game more enjoyable - so increase the gameplay in that sense).

But for the record on the matter of stories in games. I have no problem whatsoever and my brother loves a story line in a game. I used to like them more when I was a kid and I didn't do online...

But personally for me after being an online gamer for years and years without stories...I just wanna get to the game! I'm like "Let's play!! w00t!"

Anyway... - it's the same reason I dislike RPG. I Love RTS though Tongue

SOME RTS and SOME FPS are what's best for me. I've played thousands of different games over they the years but only a handful I played regularly. And I have played AoC far far far far FAR more than all other games put together...

I really like to stick to the one game and go on a journey with it online...for years....an ongoing unwritten story that you and your fellow gamers (and enemy gamers Tongue) write yourself - the game itself developing...with new strategies being developed and the game being totally maximized to the full. It's potential being lived. Unweaving the rainbow of the game Wink

That's the story for me. And it's a fully live and unfolding unwritten story. And it's an un-fucking-believable experience TongueBig GrinTongue

Sure not, there is much more to my life than videogame...
The only thing i can think of that i can spend 12 hours on every single day is going into nature to collect insects.

I just meant that if you have been gaming for 14 years, there is quite a lot of good game that you probably never even heard off...

And afer all, you may well know quite a lot of good games that I personally never heard of.
While still playing games, since i really got involved in entomology (some 10 years ago) time for playing is getting very rare indeed, always something more important to do.
