Same sex marriage

Well, I don't think that you really understand much about marriage. It was never legalized for homosexuals, so that it would be made illegal for them afterwards. Likewise, I simply do not understand why people are trying to make this type of marriages legal.
It is a personal choice(?) however, it becomes public once a couple gets married.

AND SO THE FUCK WHAT! A government issued marriage license is nothing more than a written contract binding you to be financially obligated to the person you marry. It does not give straight couples the right to have sex in public. Do you think gay orgies in public would suddenly become legal if gays had the same right?

Gays and lesbians are not a sub class or a sub species. They should have the right to sign a government issued marriage license. Anyone objecting to this is merely insecure and a fear monger.

Why should it be legal? EQUAL RIGHTS! HUMAN RIGHTS! HUMAN DIGNITY!

Public to who? The state? And what does that have to do with you? Do you seriously get offended if two gays get married? How Mehmet, does it actually physically affect your life?

For the very simple reason that equal rights should apply to everyone.

Can you not understand that?

I think he is of the opinion that they are somehow 'special rights'.

Yep, that is the mindset they do have, but it is the opposite. Gays are expected to placate the phobias of those who can get married and hide so the bigots don't have to recognize their existence.

Ooh. I know the answer to this one. "No, he can't."

Perhaps the best way to protest this state of affairs would be for gay couples to post themselves outside all places of worship that oppose homosexual marriage and wet kiss. Now don't go trying this in Turkey or in any of the other quasi-religious states. The more barbaric ones would probably stone you.

Public to everyone. That is actually the point. You are publicly announcing something when you get married. Of course if you do value marriage.

How? Obviously it does not affect my life here, but you can be sure that this will affect your life over there. And the lives of your children, if you have any. I've already said much about this.

Equal rights are amongst equals. Obviously we're equal only on equal terms.
