Dilemma for theists!
RE: Dilemma for theists!
"It was gods will that determined it would happen." you
"His will, that determined it, would happen before said sacrifice" me
His will put it through because it was not sacrificed yet, its follows chronologically. Thats what i was saying, but your preconceived notion about something is getting in the way, i wonder who that reminds me of.

This changes what, precisely? It addresses what precisely? Seems like its just something else to bicker over in order to avoid an uncomfortable or unjustifiable position. My preconceived notion of what? You opened the will/wills can, reread the thread. Can you blame me for making sure we aren't getting slippery with which meaning of the word "will" we're going to use? You're harder to nail to the wall than jello.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

RE: Dilemma for theists!
Your so dull, you say the "thread" and think the last 3 post i put was everything you and i said. Yes "will"(what a dead person leaves for their family after there gone) was a mean to connect to your analogy comparing it to what the bible says. If you actually go back and look at the thread you will see at one point you said, "its not like God sacrificed his will(a choice, desire, purpose, you know the other definition of "will")" because we have been discussing for the most part if not all the whole the scapegoating fiasco. So i was just bringing up your own assertion, precisely, what idea you shared, precisely. But you didn't even give what you suggested or noted a thought, probably because i used your thought to defend the bible and no way is any idea of your going to think or change your knowledge about that, just thought that to stand out, that's why i brought back up.
Oh and semantics fuck me, cause at the end of the day that's all we do.

Everything is open to interpretation and none of it can be true, you know this is your part, and throw in a joke maybe a rhetorical question and badaboom, we have you never changing your mind, even with your own ideas, i don't even know what that's called.

Consistency. I make it a habit. For example, I could not scapegoat a person, ergo I don't see myself joining a scapegoating cult. It's not really an issue I have to put much effort into to remain consistent about. Not really open to interpretation or negotiation. Of the few absolutes in my life, that's one of them. I suppose that makes me close-minded about the scapegoating issue. I can handle that, hell, I'm tempted to wear that badge with pride.

Now, perhaps I'm wrong, perhaps I can be convinced. Surely someone such as yourself would be able to persuade someone so dull as myself?

(I'm wondering, btw, how you managed to "defend the bible". By claiming that it was gods will? You're a little late on that one, that's kind of been the claim for ages.)

So we're still trying to argue that it isn't scapegoating? C...lol, it is, by definition, scapegoating. Whether it happened or not, whether it was good or bad, it's scapegoating. ffs.
